Job Purpose
To support the implementation of the Child Path Model by working directly with children, youth, families, community volunteers and local institutions to deliver quality community-based programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, coordinate and support Club Facilitators.
- Coach facilitators to deliver quality programme sessions.
- Establish and maintain relationships with Service Delivery Points (SDPs).
- Coordinate logistics and programme activities at assigned SDPs.
- Organise and monitor Child Path clubs, attendance and schedules.
- Engage participants and families through calls, home visits and community meetings.
- Identify, register and onboard new participants.
- Facilitate referrals to appropriate safety net services.
- Collect sponsorship-related information, photos, letters and family records.
- Support participant activities, sponsor visits and other programme tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with child safeguarding and organisational policies.
Requirements
- Relevant background in Social Work, Community Development, Education or related field.
- 2 years’ relevant work/volunteer experience in sponsorship-based or community development organisations; a relevant university degree may substitute for experience.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Good verbal and written communication in relevant local languages.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve problems creatively.
- Passion and commitment to social service and humanitarian work.
- Willingness to work approximately 80% of the time in communities and SDPs, including weekends/evenings.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for training.
